WLS uses major brand products. They are UL listed and
selected based on our customer’s requirements or requests. All ballast and
lamps are guaranteed based on the manufacturer’s warranty.
Energy-efficient system components have longer service
lives than standard products resulting in a substantial long-term savings in
labor, maintenance and replacement costs associated with lighting systems
operation.
Energy-efficient lighting produces less heat. As a
rule of thumb, the HVAC load is reduced by one watt for every watt saved in
the lighting upgrade, producing additional cooling system operational
savings of up to 25%.
Energy-efficient T8 and T5 fluorescent lamps not only
reduce lamp energy costs, but also cut lamp replacement and maintenance
expenses due to its substantially longer service life than 40Watt and 34W
T12 fluorescent lamps.
Electronic ballasts start and operate high color
rendering, energy-efficient T5 and T8 fluorescent lamps for up to 40%
savings over older technology T12 lamps powered by standard magnetic
ballasts. Because electronic ballasts operate at lower temperatures, they
provide additional savings on air conditioning costs.
Energy-efficient High Intensity Discharge (HID)
ballast/lamp systems provide similar energy cost savings for exterior and
interior lighting.
Occupancy sensors are lighting controls that detect
whether anyone is in a sensored area, such as an office, restroom, classroom
or hallway, then turn lights on or off accordingly. By using the lights
only when they are needed, an additional 25 to 50% energy reduction
typically results, which is reflected in the energy bill and ultimately the
bottom line.
Compact fluorescent lamps are the typical
energy-efficient upgrade for incandescent lamps. Compact fluorescents are
four times more efficient than incandescent and have life cycles up to 10
times longer.
LED Exit signs provide superior illumination for 60 years or more, virtually eliminating lamp replacement and maintenance costs. LED technology provides bright even illumination, reduces exit sign energy consumption by more than 90%.
